Shawn Lopez was born in Los Angeles, CA, raised in the city of Torrance and is currently residing in the city of La Mesa with his wife and son.  He took his first piano lesson at age 4, his first violin lesson at age 7 and then learned to play the drums not to long after.  His early years focused on playing and performing classical music on the piano. As he grew older he would become heavily influenced by some of the greatest musical artist’s of the 20^th century which ultimately led him down a path whereby he would play and sing other styles of music including Jazz, Latin, & Gospel. 

“Rite of Passage” was Shawn’s first album he produced.
